Leonard Smith, as Stretch Snodgrass (Athlete Student)
Leonard Smith as Stretch Snodgrass was added later to the cast as a dumb high school athlete and Walter’s best friend. Stretch may have been dumb but boy was he a great football player...and basketball player. His lack of brilliance lead to epic acts of forgetfulness that often resulted in trouble for Miss Brooks.
Though there is not a lot of information about Smith it seems he started in the movies behind the camera as a cinematographer. He was cast as Stretch in 1955 for the television show and appeared in a few other movies such as That’s the Way of the World, Take a Hard Ride, and High Risk. He now lives in San Diego with his wife.
